Git. You should never trust a 4WD! And you are right, that's one nice Z31. Just needs an inter-cooler. _________________ Michael. HS30-908 (RB20DET) |

thanx mate yeh i might go an intercooler down the track. this modle is a bit tricky to intercool because the air conditioner pump is in the way. I was thinking about having a custom plenum built so i can have the throttle body come out the front of the plenum to fix this problem

today i put a fule pump that works in the 280zx which has the motor that i will be using in my 240z.
Wow this motor runs crisp and smooth. I did a compression test on it a while back and it came up with 150 psi even on each pot. Its a f54 block and i have a p90 head which i will put on it I wont be putting this engine in the car till i have a after market ecu and all else i need to make it run In the mean time i will do with the l20et as it is all there, it just needs to be bolted in |

Well I finally got to work on the zed for the first time this year due to recovering from a motorcycle accident.
I have removed the slam panel to replace it with a new one. Just as i expected i have a bit of fabrication work to do before i fit up the new slam panel. There is quite substantial rust on either side above the tail light as you can see in the photo Any way ill be getting in to it a bit more now i am more mobile and i ham back at work and earning a crust again ![]() |

Cheers for the update Mick... glad to see you're recovering well from the accident.
My 260 has got the same rust issues in the hatch, would be good to find a replacement! The repairs required on it are out of my league, but maybe you could revive it. Keep up the good work mate and I'm looking forward to the next installment |

yeh mate i still havnt fixed it. Instead i have decided to drop it down off the rotisserie and back on its wheels so i can rool it out of the shed and sandblast the area before i put the new metal in.
should be all fixed in the next week or two |

Nice one Mate!
Looks like its coming together well....what area do you still need to sandblast and replace? What are you plans for the engine and gearbox? Still going for the P90 head? Let me know if you are willing to part with your rotisserie; I would love to get my 260 off the ground and start repairing the cancer! |

Cheers bud.... I can drive up to the bridge and pick it up if the other guys falls through. Let me know if it's free and the $'s you want for it.
I wanted to also ask if your around to do some panel work sometime later in the year? I'm looking at the hatch on my 260 and some tricky holes around the fuel filler that I was hoping you could look at. If your up for it, let me know if its easier to bring the rolling body up to Murray Bridge, or get it on a rotisserie at my place in Campbelltown. |
