I'm at work.

Off to a funeral tomorrow, one of the guys I race with (bicycle - yes, I abandoned the Z for Veterans cycle racing) was killed last week - run over by a f'in ski boat while on holiday. Crying or Very sad

Now... anyone in Canberra want a FREE set of 4-spot hilux calipers/pads etc. Bolt on with only a minor re-shape of the brake lines and removal of the backing plates required. A 15/16" or 1" master cylinder upgrade is recommended as well.

Still not dead!

Z is currently registered, and scaring the local traffic. Evil Nomad let me down the other day, and after tracing looms and testing wiring was forced to pull carpet and access panels so I could get into the fuel tank as the swimmer pump was dead. I started off thinking this was a horrible job... but in reality, compared to lying on my back under the Z to work on filters and pumps and getting fuel dumped on me - it really wasn't that bad.

Nearly bought a Nomad for $500 the other week. Don't know if it ran for that price though.

Of all the people movers of that era, it's one of the few that drives like a car. Mind you, you wouldn't want to drive one in a hurry - evil drift weapon in the wet. Feels underpowered, but it's as quick as the 90's 4-cyl Tarago.

I've been tossing up the idea of dropping a CA18DET into it. Twisted Evil

Shame the damned car still overheats.

Warning : Don't mount the IC right in front of the radiator!!!

I'm thinking about buying one of those ebay alloy rads for the 240Z, and getting the IC moved forwards and on an angle so that air can flow into the radiator without passing through the IC core.

Those cheap alloys do a great job.
Got one delivered from US for about $300 couldn't believe it, but that was probably 18mths ago.

My only issue is that alloy rad plus thermo-fans mounted THROUGH the core is a recipe for leaks. I'll have to think about that one. I know Johnny managed to deal with it... but it still makes me nervous.

Summer project.

I've mounted two through mine without issue.
Must admit my car doesn't get driven very often though.

MJ make up a alloy frame and mount the fans on that.

rubber washers on both sides and a nylon sleeve on the bolt so it just touches the core.

though after the accident radiator was bent more ways than one. fans ended up wrapped around the engine and chassis but the bolts stayed without core damage. wierd
